So word on the street (web) is that this is an old cover, and one that The Gossip frequently covers during their shows. Ever wonder what it would sound like if an outspoken, overweight, feminist punk lesbian and her band covered Aaliyah and Timbaland's classic? Pretty fucking sick, if you ask me. She does sound great, and I watched that video earlier as well. It's interesting to see how far an artist of her physical size can get-- we saw Adele who is definitely not your typical female vocalist make a very impressive run recently, but her fan base will probably never be as rabid as the sex-crazed teenie boppers who are all about the bods.
