Why does Twilight have such a good soundtrack consisting of all the artists who normally don't sell out (not including deathcab)
Alexandra Patsavas is responsible. She's done alot to get indie rock on TV like The OC and Greys Anatomy. It may seem weird, but it works. Probably costs less than using a bunch of major label superstars too.
It's not a bad thing really. It'll be good for the Infinite number of Teenage girls and whipped Boyfriends(FML) that go to see this movie. It'll be nice to have real music penetrate mainstream culture once more.

I think it has to do with the fact that Stephanie Meyer, the author, has a say, or influence in it, because she listened to some of the artists, like Muse, while writing the books...and most of these songs all relate somehow...
