Franz Ferdinand released the *Blood* LP last week & on iTunes it included 3 remixes of their last hit single, "No Your Girls". One of which included this version done by Trentemøller. Definitely digging this!
Ok, I'm really posting this for 2 reasons: 1, I know a lot of ya'll like CuDi; 2, this mofo sampled my sh!t >> "The Traitor". Well, not really my ish, and of course he didn't sample it, the producer did, but you know what I mean!
It's the second Friday in June, & today I have a snippet of the title track, "Make The Road By Walking", for you guys. You may recognize this beat for it is the original sample from Jay-Z's "Roc Boys". Since I'm not giving you the entire track, I decided to do another video. The beat chosen was given by Noods. "Guilty Cocker Spaniel" is the b-side from Modest Mouse's Satellite Skin limited-edition 7". "Satellite Skin" is the single from No One's First, a compilation of unreleased tracks and b-sides. Confusion put up a MySpace rip of "Satellite Skin" a few weeks ago, right after the band performed the song on Letterman. The two songs also appear on a promo CD, and here are the rips of both tracks:
One of the newest hip-hop artist on Jay-Z's Roc Nation, J. Cole, has been making a name for himself as of lately. I've heard a few things from him but none really hit me like this joint here. Off of his mixtape, *The Warm Up*, which is coming soon, here is "Heartache".
