Cunninlynguists ft. Sean Price & Poison Pen - "Streets"

Here's a Cunninlynguists track from their new album Strange Journey Volume Two. Buy it here or here. Kno's production is always on point, but I'm liking this one especially. Also, since I posted that Flo Rida, I figured I should put something up from the other end of the hip-hop spectrum. Check it out. Thanks to Shake.

Underground Classics

Sometimes we get caught up with all this popular new hip-hop. It comes complete with music videos, background stories (most false or exaggerated) and ringtones. If you let it, it will sneak up on you and constrict you, slowly squeezing the life out of you. I say this because I have an embarassing confession: I've been singing along with "You're A Jerk" and enjoying it.

I love new music, and I need to have playlists that are constantly changing. New music is an important part of my life, but I don't want to lose track of some of my old, lesser known favorites. Time to get back in touch with some underground classics.

Cunninlynguists ft. Slug (Atmosphere) - Don't Leave When Winter Comes

Here's the latest single from the Cunninlynguists' Strange Journey Volume 1. Slug (of Atmosphere) over Kno's production is going to make a lot of people smile. Whether you call it underground or indie rap or alternative rap or whatever, both Slug and Kno have been killing it for years, and unlike in the mainstream world of rap, it's not as common to see guys like these from different camps come together.
