If you're a Spoon fan, you are gonna smile the second you hit play.

This song is the complete Spoon experience. It's catchy enough without being obnoxious, and it's got that crisp sound quality that Spoon is known for. New elements keep popping up throughout the song to keep things interesting in the simple structured tune. I'm loving this song so far, and it has me even more excited for Transference, out next month. Thanks to Will for the heads up.

Spoon Announces New Album

Spoon has announced their next album will be called Transference, and it's out January 26th on Merge. This will be the Austin, Texas indie rock band's 7th full length album. I hope we hear more new songs soon.

So Spoon is getting ready to drop their 6th studio EP titled Got Nuffin tomorrow. Here is the title track. Britt Daniel and company never fail. Apparently this is the most straightforward and catchy song on the experimental (for Spoon) EP. Check it out. Saw it at IGIF.

If you checked P&P a couple days ago, you'll know that I recently fell in love with The Daytrotter Sessions and you'll know what they're all about. If you didn't you should click that link up there and read a little about them, because Daytrotter is a really excellent idea perfectly executed.
